5 WEEKS OLD

I am very happy with the way the puppies are doing and looking of course.  Every puppy is showing a beard already and their coats are pretty tight and dense.  Their bites are looking great as well.  We are going to worm them tomorrow and plan on doing there first set of shots next week, and worming them again before they go home.

Greta v.Erthal is a talented dog from Germany. She has a very strong pointing instinct and has always naturally honored. She has been one of my top guiding dogs used for upland game since she was 9 months old. I use her 3 to 4 days a week, 7 months a year. She is explosive in the water and on the field, with a medium range search. Greta is very methodical while on track, proving very useful in recovering game. She has a very sweet disposition which makes her a great companion on and off the field.

Sire of C-LITTER

Nic vom Bockenhagen is a striking dog with a perfect temperament. He is a very big searching dog with an unmatched prey drive. He is very skilled in the water with a great nose. His father is Brisko v.Erthal the #2 dog in performance as well as best looking male in the 2004 Hegewald. I am directly lining up Greta with that line. I have had this breeding in mind since I imported Greta from Germany. Her mom is Bene v.Erthal best looking female of 2004 Hegewald, Brisko's sister. I know Nic personally and have spend a lot of time hunting with him. If we could breed all our Drahts to be as talented and look as handsome as he, we would be so lucky. (He has passed his great looks on to all the litters he has sired.)

THE PUPPIES ARE DOING WELL.  THEY ARE ALL HEALTHY AND GROWING LIKE WEEDS.  THEY ARE ALL GETTING DARKER AND SHOWING DEFINATE SIGNS OF BEARDS.  WE STARTED TRYING TO FEED SOME EXTRA MUSHY FOOD TONITE, TO HELP THE PUPPIES AND OFCOURSE THE MOTHER OF THE LITTER OUT.

C-Litter 2 Weeks

Here is a picture of my girls. They are starting to open their eyes. They are growing fast.

They all seem to be really healthy. Sorry I have not been posting more pictures. Life is busy right now.

Here is my boys. As you can tell they are greatly out numbered, I feel sorry for them.

They all look great and have beautiful heads. Mom is doing great as well.

C-Litter has arrived 10-26-09

There is puppies Everywhere!!! 13 healthy puppies 9 Females and 4 Males.
Now the work begins trying to rotate the feeding and keeping them all healthy and warm. I am very excited they look very good. As you can see there is lots of markings and the heads look really good as well as the over all condition of the pups.

B-LITTER -----ALMOST 6 WEEKS

Boy they are mobile now about the only way to get a group picture is to whistle and let them crawl all over you.

Another fun thing is they are carrying everything around now in fact we shouldn't encourage the shoe thing but it was to cute. Preston our 4 year old left his church shoes outside and the male we call Bosco found it and was carrying so proudly.

Exel is a very handsome stud dog, he has a lot of point and natural ability. He has thrown himself in all his puppies. I have researched this German import and see him as my best choice for my breeding goals.

B-LITTER 4 WEEKS

B-LITTER PUPPIES 3 WEEKS OLD

Here is a picture of my girls: Bella, Bailey, Brandy, Britt, and Birdy.

Here is another one. You get one lined up then they fall asleep and the others are walking all over them. It would be easier if they would sleep during picture time.

However, they are starting to show there personalities. You can tell the males are running to attack the photographer.

These puppies are definitely kid friendly. They do not lack attention.

The kids are with them lots, and they them love. And offer great help for begining socialization training.

2 weeks old and their growing like weeds (but a little more useful)

The little Gals are fast a sleep, finally. We tried for 15 minutes to line them up for pictures and the were to wiggly.

The boys were a little more cooperative.....for a minute anyways!!!

By the way their eyes started opening yesterday and they are now walking around pretty well.

B-Litter 8 Days Old

Here is a picture of the Little Lady's posing for the camera....or sleeping hard? They are growing so fast.

Here is another picture of my Little Lady's. All day long they eat, sleep and then eat and sleep some more. We are looking forward to there eyes opening. Then the real fun begins!!

Here's a picture of the boys. The pictures don't give them justice, they have nice big blocky heads and nice round full belly's. Mom is doing a great job keeping my pups fed.

Here is the boys conserving all there energy so in a few weeks we will be in trouble.

B- LITTER PUPPIES HAVE ARRIVED....

The verdict is in 7 females and 5 males. They look great lots of markings nice size neck and heads. They started pointing and tracking right after they left the womb. Okay back to reality they seem to be healthy and lively. Mom is doing her job great.
